April was an awesome month for our family! We fished, played, learned, and went on a fun road trip. We spent the month doing what we do best, living and learning with love. Join us on our adventure…April 2016 in pictures!
April 2016 in Pictures
The Sebastian Inlet Tide Pool is one of our favorite places. The inlet connects the AtlantIc Ocean with the Indian River, the tide pool sits off to the side. On the other side of the rocks in the pic is the inlet, they don’t swim there!
Honest John’s Fish Camp is a great spot to visit on the barrier island! This fish camp began as a government homestead in 1887 and remains in the same family. This is a great spot to relax by the river or rent a boat and go on an adventure! My kids enjoy feeding the chickens, ducks, and fish.
My kids have always enjoyed fishing but this year it has become one of their favorite past times. Good thing we live near the ocean & river, they have lots of fishing opportunities!
They even have a blast fishing in the pond at the end of our street!
Ava ditched the pole and decided to try the net!
A bit of learning sprinkled in…
We did spend sometime inside the house working on some paperwork. Audrey is really enjoying learning new concepts!
They all enjoy creating art!
Learning about butterflies is always a hit!
We ended the month with an awesome road trip! We left Florida headed to Ohio to visit with my family and meet up with my hubby. We stopped in the mountains where the kids had a blast!
The next morning before heading to my dad’s house we detoured a bit to see the New River Bridge. It is gorgeous! I am not a fan of bridges but this was worth shaking up my nerves for.
The kids asked to drive to the bottom. I agreed but almost changed my mind halfway down the very narrow dirt road. It was totally worth it, I was so glad that I drove down!
Finally we got to my dad’s where we were reunited with my dad and theirs!!
While in Ohio we visited a few neat places. First, we discovered the Leo Petroglyphs. The rock surface includes between 30 and 40 different figures, it was very cool!
We visited the Buckeye furnace which was full of history. It was a neat place to explore!
The Columbus Zoo is always fun to explore and a great place to be silly!
Back at Home
We had to return home eventually and we tried our best to get back into a groove.
Alex is still casually fencing. He is trying to decide if he wants to continue with the sport.
Around the house….. A few things that I did was discover a new face mask using just two ingredients, the kids laugh at my green face!
My favorite lunch currently is an Asian ginger noodle bowl, yummm!
Audrey and I enjoy a bit of silly time!
That was a quick overview of our fun month. I hope that you enjoyed looking at our April 2016 in pictures!
