Chicken Gravy Made From Stock

I love this homemade gravy.  I use my homemade chicken stock, it turns out delicious every time.  I often catch my daughter, Ava, eating it by the spoonful.

Here is what you need:  1/2 cup butter, 1/2 cup whole wheat flour, 4 cups chicken stock, 1/3 cup heavy cream, salt and pepper to taste

Here is what you do:  Cut the butter into chunks and place into medium saucepan.  Melt the butter over medium low heat until foamy.  Add flour mix and stir.  Cook this mixture for about 8 minutes (it will start smelling like pie crust) then slowly add chicken stock while stirrig with a whisk.  Cook about 10 minutes then slowly add cream.  Cook 2 more minutes.  Add salt and pepper to taste.  Serve & enjoy!
