Natural Hydrating Hair Mask

March 28th, 2012 | Posted by Angela Roberts in Going Greener | Homemade Natural Hygiene

I have been using the no ‘poo shampoo & conditioner method for two months.  It is spring here in Florida and we have been spending a lot of time outdoors, especially at the beach.  My hair is curly and coarse and I felt that it really needed a deep conditioner.  I turned to my kitchen and made a homemade natural hydrating mask using only 3 ingredients.

It  is super simple.  All you need to do is mix together 1/2 cup honey, 1 egg yolk,  and 1 tablespoon coconut, or olive, oil.  Work the mixture into your damp hair.  Cover your hair with a towel or shower cap for 20 minutes.  Rinse your hair in cool water and wash using your regular method.

I plan on using this hair mask once a month!
