About Kathe Kruse Waldorf Dolls

Kathe Kruse has over 100 years experience making quality handcrafted dolls.  Kathe Kruse created her first doll in 1905 in Germany for her daughter Maria.  Her dolls where an overwhelming success and as the demand increased Kathe Kruse stood by the importance of handcrafted dolls:

Handcraft:  I will always stick with this principle.  Only the hand can make what, through the hand, goes back to the heart.

-Kathe Kruse

Kathe Kruse dolls are made to last generations not years.  These charming dolls are all made from hand, not mass produced.  All Kathe Kruse products are made with “handcrafted detail” as well as “social standards and environmental consciousness” – Kathe Kruse.com.

Our Experience

The moment we opened our Kathe Kruse doll my girls and I were in love.  We received the Mini It’s Me Waldorf Doll with brown hair.

My girls were instantly charmed by this beautiful doll.  I was instantly impressed with the quality of this doll.  She is made from 100% natural materials, stuffed with sheep wool and has bouclé wool hair. Her face is simply charming and her clothes come on and off very easily.

The hardest part of this review was having two daughters and one doll!  They shared their new doll very well for several hours then Ava, the oldest of the two, made the decision that her youngest sister could be the sole care taker of our new doll ‘Rose’ (named after Ava of course!).  Audrey’s face lit up with joy and our new Kathe Kruse doll has seldom left her side.

I am so impressed with the quality of our Kathe Kruse doll that I didn’t even flinch when Audrey wanted her to get her face painted with her at the fall festival.  I knew that this doll was totally washable and made with such care that she would easily withstand a washing.

This is our first Kathe Kruse doll and I know that it will not be our last.  They are handcrafted with heirloom quality, I can easily see our future grandchildren loving this doll.  I can also breathe easily knowing that all Kathe Kruse toys and dolls are certified chemical free, led free, and environmentally friendly.  Kathe Kruse also offers an organic line of toys, such as the organic red and pink Gugguli doll offered in this giveaway!

Buy it!

You can purchase your own Kathe Kruse doll at KatheKruse-usa.com.   The organic pink and red Gugguli doll offered in the giveaway can be purchased for $33.90.  The Mini It’s Me Waldorf doll that I reviewed can be purchased for $63.90.  There is such a large selection of amazing dolls offered at Kathe Kruse you are sure to find one that will thrill your child (Ava will be receiving a pink Waldorf sweetheart doll for the upcoming holiday, shhh!).

Not only does Kathe Kruse offer beautiful dolls, they also offer cloth animals, finger puppets, rattles, teethers, nursery decor and more!  You are sure to find many wonderful items for all of the young loved ones in your life.
